Built in 1999, the Inn is a 19 room small boutique inn designed to
meet the needs of discriminating business traveler, tourists and urban
romantics. It is located in Calgary's trendy Kensington area which is a
short walk from the Business Centre of town. It offers the discerning
consumer a unique alternative not presently available in Calgary. Its
proximity to the Light Rail Transit System makes many of Calgary's major
points of interest - The University of Calgary, McMahon Stadium, The
Arts Centre, The Saddledome, The Stampede Grounds and Heritage Park to
name a few, easily accessible in a matter of minutes. The Inn has a
commanding view of the Bow River and Downtown Calgary. The Kensington
Riverside Inn, designed by award winning architect Richard Lindseth, F.
is traditional in style. A gracious, club like atmosphere has been
created with ten-foot high ceilings, cornices and columns and a wood
burning fireplace and bar in the living room. The stylish rooms have
been individually decorated with the kind of furnishings that make
guests feel at home. No two rooms are alike. All have voice mail, data
ports and high speed internet access, TVs and VCRs, irons and ironing
boards plus heated towel bars and windows that open, while some have gas
fireplaces, jetted tubs, balconies or patios. The Inn is air
conditioned, wheelchair accessible and has an elevator.
