First opened in 1914 as one of the Canadian Pacific Railroad hotels,
the Fairmont Palliser has become Calgary's landmark historic hotel. The
Palliser is located in the heart of downtown Calgary and is connected by
the Skywalk to the Calgary Convention Centre, the Calgary Tower and the
Glenbow Museum. The 405 guestrooms have just been through a 28 million
restoration and are appointed with new carpets, upholstery, and
furniture. All of the rooms are equipped with the latest business
amenities and entertainment features such as Sony PlayStations. Guests
can dine in the Rimrock Room, with vaulet ceilings, period murals, and
massive stone fireplace.
All guests also have access to the fully-equipped Health Club.
